Join Fort Stanwix National Monument for national Bike Your Park Day on September 30. Explore your parks and public lands by bicycle with thousands of people across the country on the same day. Did you know that you can cover 1.2 miles on a bike just by riding around the fort trail 2 times?
Don't own a bike but you'd still like to participate. No problem. You can take advantage of the Rome Bike Share Program available at the Fort Stanwix (Willett Center) station, the Chestnut Street Trail (Mohawk River Trail) station, and the Bellamy Harbor station. For more information on the Rome Bike Share Program and bike station locations visit zagster.com/rome.
Bike Your Park Day encourages people to ride to and within parks and public lands in celebration of the National Park Service (NPS) centennial, National Public Lands Day, and Adventure Cycling’s 40th anniversary.
