Schoharie Crossing State Historic Site is offering an 8 week program sponsored by a NY Department of Health Grant in association with the international Tai Chi for Health programs and Arthritis Foundation.
With two classes per week, this program is intended as an introduction for beginner level adults that are seeking fulfillment and wellness through the ancient method of Tai Chi. The classes will be held on Wednesdays and Fridays at 10 a.m. and will last about an hour each. The last class will be on February 27.
There is limited enrollment for this course, so please call to register before December 31. There will be no drop ins after the first week.
Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese tradition that is practiced today as a graceful form of exercise and involves a series of gentle, slow and focused movments. This program incorporates Qi-gong breathing and also attention to balance for those that may be at risk of falling.
