The Battles of Saratoga are cited as the turning point in the Revolutionary War. Master historical painter Don Troiani and historian Eric Schnitzer combine their talents in this new book on Saratoga, the Revolutionary War campaign. This magnificently illustrated history features many new artworks, previously unpublished eyewitness accounts, photographs of important artifacts, and a solid, detailed historical narrative including background on the campaigns leading up to Saratoga.

Eric Schnitzer is park ranger/historian at Saratoga National Historical Park (Saratoga Battlefield), where he has worked since 1997. Eric earned his degrees in History and Fine Art from the University at Albany (SUNY Albany) in 1998. He is Founder and commander of the recreated 62nd Regiment of Foot, and enjoys researching, interpreting, and writing about all aspects concerning the Northern Campaign of 1777. He and his wife, Jenna, who shares his love of all this, live in an 18th-century house in the White Creek Historic District, located a stone’s throw from Bennington Battlefield and the estate of Simeon Covell, a royalist captain who served in Burgoyne’s Army.

For more information, please call 518-774-5669. We would like to thank our event sponsor, Alpin Haus. All proceeds from this event will go towards the completion of the Museum’s Research Library scheduled to open this fall/early winter.
