At 1pm: an old fashioned salute to showcase American History as the Declaration of Independence is read. The second Tryon County Militia salute will follow to honor those who fought for freedom. Add to this a strawberry festival of homemade cakes, strawberry shortcake, Stewart's ice cream, and refreshment for a small fee. A bake sale of items is added so something tasty can be purchased to take home.
