Old Stone Fort History Fair

Location: 145 Fort Rd., Schoharie

A day at the History Fair is time traveling – with re-enactors, musicians, collectors and artisans from ancient Rome through the 1960s. Admission is only $10 for adults with kids under 18 free! Saturday and Sunday of Columbus Day Weekend at the Old Stone Fort Museum in Schoharie.

You’ve probably heard the 1812 Overture. But you’ve never heard it – or seen it – like this before! On Saturday, October 11, the Stone Fort History Fair presents the world’s first performance of this masterpiece in an outdoor concert with historic bells and cannons from three centuries!

Major underwriters of the Stone Fort History Fair are the New York Council for the Humanities, the Schoharie County Occupancy Tax Board; the Donna M. Lavigne Agency and Fenimore Asset Management. Other sponsors include the Bank of Richmondville, Ralph and Irmgard Buess, Kintz Plastics, Lavelle & Finn, LLP; Little Italy and Schoharie Valley Wine & Liquor, MDRM Industries, NBT Bank, Price Chopper, Sterling Insurance, and Stewart’s Shops.
