Indian council assembled at Johnstown, requested by General Schuyler. About 700 Native Americans consisting of Tuscaroras, Onondagas, Oneidas, a few Mohawks, and a few Cayugas. The Marquis de Lafayette, Schuyler, James Duane and a few others also were at the Council.
