Meeting place of Brant's Indians and Tories, 1770-1778. Marker is on NYS 8, 6 mil north of New Berlin. A bridge over the Unadilla River at this place contributed to the 1770 Carr farm becoming the most important meeting place of Tories and Indians north of Onaquaga and south of Oneida. It was a vital staging place for skirmishes and battles. Much activity all over the Mohawk Valley through the entire Revolution left from here.
