Sullivan-Clinton Camp
“Sullivan-Clinton forces camped near this spot August, 11, 1779.” This marker is located on Route 7 about 2 miles. NE of Otego. At this spot and for several miles in both directions, the troops of Gen Clinton spent their first night on the river to meet Gen Sullivan at Tioga. Along the route, they destroyed every evidence of any life, burned structures and crops and killed any living thing.Nearby
